Second hand wedding dress

About two weeks ago I saw this wedding dress at a second hand store. Isn't it beautiful? I love the lace and the high neck. I didn't find any label on this one, but there was a similar looking (or maybe the exact same looking) dress which had a label that said "Ceremonia by Nicholas". Weddingplans

Nu är det ungefär tre månader kvar tills vi gifter oss! Jag är riktigt förväntansfull! Dom två senaste månaderna har vi haft fullt upp med att planera; hitta rätt kläder, hitta catering, frisör och florist. Vi har också letat efter mer porslin, och vi har hittat en hel del fina koppar och assietter. Så, hittills verkar saker och ting gå bra, och det känns bra att vi har bokat in och bestämt oss för dom viktigaste grejerna. 

Translation; Now it's only about three months until we get married! I'm really excited and can't wait! The last two months we have been busy finding the right clothes, the right catering, hairstylist and florist. We have also been looking for the right kind of porcelain, and we have found some very cute teacups and plates, which I plan on showing you here. So, things seems to be working out well (so far!) and I'm glad we've got so much done and some of the key decisions are made. This inspiration board is one of the first ones I made when we started to plan the wedding, and I think the key words that describes this board is also what will fit our wedding; glasjars as vases, rustic, vintage and a gorgeous cake!

Pink roses and royal blue teacups

Det var osäkert om vi skulle kunna åka till second hand butiken i helgen, jag har haft ont i vänster arm sedan i fredags. Men som tur var så var det inte riktigt så illa under lördagen så vi åkte dit och tur var väl det. Vi kom hem med en kaktång, fyra uppsättningar av dom blå- och guldmönstrade kopparna, fyra assietter med rosa blommor och fyra koppar med rosa blommor och gulddekor. 

Translation: I have been feeling pain in my left arm since friday, so it was unsure if we could go to the second hand-store this weekend. Luckily I felt better for a while during Saturday, so we went there and this is what we found! Four pieces of each of what is shown below, except the pastrytong, we only bought one. 

For the wedding

Jag och min sambo har börjat titta efter porslin till bröllopet på allvar nu när alla second-hand butiker har börjat ha öppet som vanligt igen efter sommaren. Här är vad vi hittills har hittat. Det känns som att det kan ta lite tid att få ihop så mycket som vi behöver, men vi har ju gott om tid. Det finns hur mycket porslin som helst där ute, men så ska det ju kännas rätt också; rätt storlekar på tallrikar, assietter och koppar, rätt mönster och skick samt ett bra pris. Det är tur att jag tycker det är kul att åka runt och titta på saker! 

Translation: Me and my fiancé have found a few things for our wedding. It´s quite a challenge to find the "right" things but we have plenty of time. 

Our church; Forsby kyrka

Här är kyrkan som jag och Jim kommer gifta oss i om lite mindre än ett år. Forsby kyrka var den första kyrkan vi var och tittade på, och vi kände direkt att den var bra. Lagom stor och ett fint församlingshem (ett gammalt magasin) som ligger precis bredvid. Det är också ett stort plus för oss att kyrkan är gammal, möjligtvis är den den äldsta daterade kyrkan i Sverige, och att den ligger lite utanför stan så att det känns mer på landet.

Bilderna är dels ifrån när jag och Jim var och kikade på kyrkan själva första gången, dels ifrån när vi var där med våra mammor innan vi bestämde oss för att boka kyrkan.

Translation: This is the church me and Jim will get married in next year. It's a small and old church outside Skövde and the first time we went to look at it, we felt immediatley that it could be The church for us.

 

 

 

Country wedding

Dom flesta kvällarna här går åt till att surfa runt på olika bröllopssidor för att hitta inspiration och tips. För någon dag sedan hittade jag Bridal Musings, en sida full med bilder från bröllop och tips med DIY. Genom den sidan hittade jag dessutom en annan bra sida; Style Me Pretty: The Ultimate Wedding Blog. Där kan man bland annat göra sina egna inspirations kollage.

Jag gjorde ett lite snabbt, resultatet nedan. Ett par som verkligen lyckats få till "bröllop-på-landet-känslan". Så fint! Klicka här för att se alla bilder ur det galleriet.

Translation: Most evenings I'm on the net trying to find good weddingsites with lots of inspiration. A few days ago I found Bridal Musings, a site full of pictures from weddings and DIY- tips. I also found Style Me Pretty: The Ultimate Wedding Blog, where you can create your own inspiration boards.

I created the one below; pictures from a wedding where the couple really did a good job getting the  country- feeling for their wedding. The colours, the flowers, the cake.. So beautiful! Click here to see all pictures from the gallery.

Flowers from the field

Blommor betyder ju väldigt mycket i ett bröllop. Men det finns ju hur mycket som helst att välja mellan! Två favoriter är pioner och dom små vita blommorna som tjejen har i håret på sista bilden. 

Jag har även börjat fundera på vilket färgtema vi ska ha. Just nu lutar det åt persikofärgat och vitt eller ljust rosa och vitt. Men inget är bestämt, det finns ju SÅ mycket att välja mellan! 

Om ca två veckor har vi planerat att åka och titta på i alla fall två kyrkor. Vi har några alternativ, minst sju kyrkor som vi eventuellt är intresserade av, dock så har jag en favorit som jag hoppas på. 

Translation: Flowers means a lot on a wedding.  But there's so much to choose from! Two of my favourites are peonys and the small white flowers the girl has in her hair in the last picture. 

I have also started to think of what colours to use. At the moment I'm very into peach/white or light pink/white. 

In two weeks we are going to go visit two of the churches which we are interested in. We have at least seven churches we have looked up, but I have one favourite I'm hoping will be the One.
